Call For Workshops

The 4th International Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT 2014) will feature workshops to facilitate a thought discussion on emerging IoT topics such as privacy and security or the need for open data standards. This year, we will be featuring Scientific and Industrial Workshops. The objective of the scientific workshops is to give researchers in the emerging research areas the opportunity to present early research results. The objective of industrial workshops is to give industrial pioneers in the emerging IoT applications the opportunity to share hands-on experiences, novel architecture, strategies, etc. You are cordially invited to submit workshop proposals. Your proposal should provide the following information:

  • The name of the workshop.
  • A statement of goals for the workshop.
  • The names/affiliations and contact information of the organizer(s).
  • The names of panel members (for scientific workshops only).
  • The names of speakers (for industrial workshops)
  • The planned length of the workshop and number of expected participants of the workshop (e.g., past history of the workshop, if applicable).

Workshop organizers should submit their proposals to IoT2014 workshop program co-chairs by email (workshops2014@iot-conference.org), no later than May 20th 23:59 (EST), 2014. PDF format is preferred. The subject of the email should be “Proposal for IoT 2014 Workshop (scientific or industrial)”.

Each proposal will be evaluated based on the topics and organization plan of the workshop. A limited number of workshop proposals will be accepted. Workshop organizers are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals as early as possible for proposals are evaluated on a continuous basis right after their arrival. Thus, successful workshops can be accepted earlier which allows for more time for advertising the event.

Papers of scientific workshops will be published as Internet of Things 2014 Workshop Proceedings but will NOT be submitted to IEEE Xplore because their selection process is different from conference full papers.

Please note that workshop participants will be required to register for the conference.
