We have invited as panelists, IoT experts from academia and the industry to organise two exciting panels at IoT 2022 with a hybrid format. The panelists will join us online, while the panel discussion will be locally moderated by an expert physically present. The panels will only be available to attendees that are physically present at IoT 2022.
Panel #1: IoT Applications (Nov. 8, 2022)
Panel Moderator: Prof. Dr. Gerd Kortuem (TU Delft) is professor of Internet of Things at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. His research centres on the intersection of the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Design, and explores how data, algorithms, and smart materials can be turned into creative design materials. This covers foundational technologies, design methods, ethical issues and the dynamics of large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects where designers have to deal with tensions between commercial and societal concerns.
Panel #2: IoT Security (Nov. 9, 2022)
Panel Moderator: Harold Weffers holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and an Eng.D in Software Technology and has over 25 year experience in system and software engineering in the context of R&D and (technological) innovation in industry. He is currently Coordinator External Partnerships of Eindhoven University of Technology, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science as well as program manager in the context of the national INTERSECT public-private partnership on cyber security of Internet-of-Things. He is also a member of the NEN norm committee on system and software engineering, a member of the NEN norm committee on cyber security & privacy, and a member of the NEN working group on IoT Product Security.
